Murat Arık was born on December 19, 1993, in Kütahya, Turkey.

In 2008, he moved to Istanbul, where he discovered his passion for photography during his high school years, encouraged by those around him. In 2009, he began working at a photography studio, continuing his education while gaining hands-on experience in various studios and honing his craft.

Murat Arık has developed a distinctive style in portrait photography—characterized by simplicity, emotional depth, and authenticity. Throughout his career, he has remained dedicated to producing direct and sincere images, free from filters and artificial enhancements. His deep focus on emotion has enabled him to form genuine connections with his subjects. As a result, he has collaborated with prominent individuals from diverse fields, including business, the arts, film, literature, and science—both in Turkey and internationally. He has also engaged in creative projects with several global brands.

Among these, his collaboration with HONOR stands out as a notable example. Arık produced a striking portrait series for the brand, seamlessly blending technology and art into a cohesive visual narrative.

In 2021, he launched his signature project, “70 Çizgi”—a collection of black-and-white portraits and life stories featuring 70 influential business leaders. The project received two major awards and is regarded as a significant milestone in his professional journey.

In 2023, Murat Arık held his first solo exhibition at Emaar Arthub. Following strong public interest, the exhibition was subsequently showcased at the Memorial Art Gallery. Proceeds from the limited-edition black-and-white portraits sold during the exhibitions were donated to the Darüşşafaka Society’s Earthquake Relief Campaign, supporting the education of children affected by the earthquakes.

Murat Arık continues his photographic journey with unwavering passion. As a husband and father to a daughter, he draws inspiration from both his family and the people he photographs—capturing the purest expressions of human emotion and spirit through compelling visual storytelling.
